Information
Items that
will NOT be allowed for sale at any Green Market event without
permit from Health Department or Department of Agriculture - LABELS
required, include:
- Home canned
soups
- Soup in a bag (pre-chopped vegetables)
- Salsa
- Pickles
- Vegetable relishes
- Baked products with cream cheese
- Custard based pies (i.e. chess pies, pumpkin, etc.)
- Meringue pies
- Cheese (cow or goat, etc.)
- Milk (cow or goat, etc.)
- Seafood
- Shellfish / Shrimp
- Boiled crawfish
- Casseroles
- Smoked or cured meats (ham or jerky, etc.)
- Cornmeal
- Seed sprouts
- Dog cookies (market manager will decide after an ingredient
listis presented)
- Infused oils or vinegars
- Pepper sauce (Okay if prepared in a certified kitchen.)
- Any meat or meat products
- Food prepared on-site (unless using a certified mobile cart)
- Homemade ice cream
- Egg-based items (Farm egg sales are permitted but the eggs MUST
be kept in a cooler with ice.)
If you cook in a certified kitchen, you must be able to show yourcertification.
Other items
not permitted include:
- Screen-printed t-shirts
- Silk flower arrangements
All other
items will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
